Coating "SCC Shut" that suppresses stress corrosion cracking in stainless steel.
It suppresses stress corrosion cracking in stainless steel, allowing for longer maintenance of equipment!
SCC (Stress Corrosion Cracking) is a phenomenon where cracks occur in materials due to the interaction of "tensile stress," "chloride ions," and "temperature and humidity environment," and these cracks progress over time. Stainless steel is an alloy mixed with chromium and nickel, and it is a corrosion-resistant metal due to its strong oxide film (passivation film) on the surface. However, when the above conditions overlap, cracks can occur, leading to fractures. "SCC Shut" was developed as a countermeasure against stress corrosion cracking in stainless steel. By applying SCC Shut, chloride ions on the surface of stainless steel are removed, suppressing stress corrosion cracking and allowing for longer maintenance of equipment. The application method is the same as conventional paints, making it relatively easy to implement SCC countermeasures with simple maintenance. *For more details, please download the catalog PDF or feel free to contact us.
